Imaging

Order imaging from the chart

Turn on Imaging under Settings → Diagnostics → Imaging, and charts and visits gain an Imaging page under Diagnostics. New order opens a sheet whose questions change with the exam. Pick the exam yourself or tell Ona what to order in plain words, then choose Sign and fax, Sign and print or Sign and give to the patient. The order moves from Signed through Sent, Scheduled and Performed to Report, with the next step beside it. Owners, Admins and Doctors can order, and Staff can read.

The questions follow the exam you choose.

Reports that find their way back

Use Upload report, or file a fax as an Imaging report, and it joins the patient's Imaging page. Ona reads the impression and any recommended follow-up, and whoever placed the order is notified. You Mark reviewed, record an Action and Tell patient, each with who did it and when. A follow-up that passes its date rises to Follow-up due at the top of the rail, so a recommended scan doesn't slip.

What it found, what's been done, and what's still due.

Also in imaging

  • Reports patients can read. Patients see a report only once you share it, with Portal note under Tell patient. It appears under Imaging reports in their records, with your note, and they get an email.

Inventory

Controlled substances, bottle by bottle

Give an item a Schedule in its form, or turn on Track each container for anything else, and each bottle you receive keeps its own balance. A dose takes its exact amount off that bottle, so 1 mL from a 10 mL vial leaves 9 mL. Log dose is on the item's record, on visits and in the chart, and completing a procedure can draw from a container. Staff can log doses, and Owners, Admins and Doctors manage the items.

Every vial with what's left in it, and every dose that came out.

A log of every controlled substance

Controlled, under Records in Inventory, appears once an item is tracked. Its Log lists every receipt, dose, waste and correction. Entries are never edited: a mistake is voided and stays on the record. Export gives you the log as a PDF or CSV, and Counts holds your physical counts. To have a second person confirm each waste, turn on Witness waste under Settings → Inventory. Owners, Admins and Doctors can read the log. Ona doesn't file anything with the DEA or a state program.

Every receipt, dose and waste, with who and for whom.

Inventory, without the tabs

Inventory is now a rail, a list and the item's record, side by side. Alerts is gone: Low, Out and Expiring sit in the rail with their counts, and Movements and Protocols are under Records.

Also in inventory

  • Part of a unit on invoices. Product lines on invoices and service products can now take a quantity such as 0.5.

Improved

Labs

One page for labs

A patient's Lab Orders and Lab Reports are now one Labs page, under a new Diagnostics group in the chart and on visits. Orders and reports sit in the rail, above the result categories, with the results beside them. DoseSpot moves under Dispensary. In Settings, Labs and Junction move to Settings → Diagnostics. Old links still work.

Orders, reports and results, without switching pages.

Also in labs

  • Reports linked to their orders. When you review a report, choose Link to order to tie it to its requisition, and the requisition leaves your open orders. Unlink brings it back.

Improved

Notifications

Replies that reach you

Reply-to email, under Settings → Notifications → Emails, sets where replies to your notification emails go. Leave it empty and, if you have an Omnichannel email address, patients' replies now land in your Omnichannel inbox. Before, they went to a no-reply address.

And more

Charting

  • Choose which notes to export. Export → Notes…, on a chart or a visit, lists the patient's notes. Filter by date or status and untick any you don't want, and the PDF holds exactly what's ticked.

Omnichannel

  • All your notes in one filter. Notes, in the inbox's channel filter, lists every note you're on, filed under the patient it's about. The note's header links to their chart, and a new message reopens a resolved note.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Every shortcut, one key away. Press ? in Omnichannel, Calendar, Faxes or Leads to see the keys that work there.
