One hundred markers, zero retyping

Ona reads every result on a lab report, even a hundred-marker stool panel. Review it beside the original, approve and share it in one step, and follow each test over time against your own ranges. Plus: open notes in one pile, staggered start times, patient profile choices and timesheet pay periods.

Lab reports

Every report and every test, on one page

A patient's Lab Reports, under Dispensary in their chart, now holds all their lab work on one page. Their reports are listed on the left, newest first, and the ones waiting for a clinician are marked Review. Beside them, every test across those reports has a card with its latest value, its flag, the value before it and a chart of every reading. Find a test and Out of range narrow the cards down.

Every report on the left, every test beside them.

Review it beside the original

Select Upload report and drop in a PDF or photo. Ona reads every result on it, section by section, in the order the report prints them. That includes long specialty reports like a GI-MAP or a DUTCH, so a hundred-marker stool panel comes back complete. Open a report to review it, with the document on the left and the results on the right. Hover a result to light its line on the document. Each flag says where it came from: printed by the lab, worked out by Ona from the range, or set by your team.

Every result next to the line it was read from.

Ona's read of the whole report

At the top of each review, Summary is Ona's overview of the report: what stands out, the notable results, the diagnosis codes on the order, and anything else worth reading, such as lab comments or tests still pending. Select a notable result to jump to it. After you've corrected results, Regenerate writes it again. Patients never see the summary.

What matters on the report, before you scroll.

Approve it all, and share when you're ready

When you've checked the results, Approve all confirms every one of them and marks the report reviewed. Two notes sit at the end of the results: a Note to patient and an Internal note for your team. To share the report in the same step, open the arrow beside the button and choose Approve all and share with patient. You can also share it later with Share with patient.

Patients only see a report once you share it. They're told it's ready, and they find it in their portal under Health records, section by section, with your note above the results. Ona's summary, internal notes and how each flag was worked out stay with your team.

Follow each test over time

Open a test's card to see every reading, each with the report it came from. The same test from different labs lines up, even in different units. A glucose in mg/dL from one lab and in mmol/L from another is one line, shown in the unit of the latest reading. Pin to the top keeps a test first for that patient, for your whole team. Under View, group tests By category or By panel, as printed.

One line per test, whichever lab ran it.

Read results against your own ranges

Keep your clinic's optimal or functional ranges beside the lab's. Add one from a result with Clinic range, or open Library → Lab ranges and select New range. To bring in a whole chart, select Import from a document there: Ona reads the ranges and you choose which to save. Then choose Clinic ranges under View. Results are then flagged against your ranges, and each card names the range it's read against. Ona ships no ranges of its own.

Also in lab reports

  • Fix what Ona misread. Edit a result to correct it, or add one with Add a result Ona missed. Read the document again replaces Ona's reading with a fresh one and keeps the results you added.

Visits

Every open note, one at a time

On Visits, the Open notes card counts the notes still waiting for a signature. Review and sign opens them one at a time, oldest first. Choose Sign, Sign & send to share the note with the patient too, or Later to put it at the back. Swipe the note, or press the key shown on each button. Owners, admins and staff can go through everyone's notes, and clinicians go through their own.

Clear the week's notes in one sitting.

Also in visits

  • Notes on the visits list. A Notes column shows how many of a visit's notes are signed, and the Notes filter finds visits with Unsigned notes, All notes signed or No notes. A patient's visits tab shows the column too.

Improved

Scheduling

Start times on a rhythm

Under Settings → Availability, Start times can now be At an interval: a visit every so many minutes, counted from the start of each block of hours, such as a new group every 25 minutes. When Overlapping visits is on, Overlap type can stagger them instead: visits overlap, but each starts a set number of minutes after the last. Each location, clinician and service can set its own, and online booking follows them.

Also in scheduling

  • One visit at a time in a room. Set a room's Overlapping visits to Not allowed, and it takes one visit at a time, whichever clinician books it. Before, only each clinician's own visits were kept apart.

Improved

Patients

Choose which details you ask for

Under Settings → Patient Profile, each patient detail is now Off, Ask or Require. Off hides it from patients and from your team, and keeps any value on file for when you turn it back on. Details that claims, prescriptions or reminders rely on, such as date of birth and phone, can be asked for or required but not turned off. Pronouns and Sex assigned at birth start Off, so turn them on if you use them.

Improved

Timesheets

Pay periods, marked as paid

Set a Pay schedule under Settings → Timesheets, and Timesheets shows the hours for each pay period. Mark as paid records one team member's period as paid, and Mark all as paid does it for everyone. A shift changed after it was paid shows under Changed since paid, and marking the period again pays only the difference. Only owners and admins see pay.

And more

Inventory

  • Charge for the products a visit uses. With inventory on, a service's Products lists the items its visits use. Turn on Charge the patient on the visit's invoice for an item, and it's added to the visit's invoice at its sale price and taken from stock.

Forms and consents

  • Links that check who's opening them. A form, consent or profile link you send now asks for the patient's date of birth before it opens. With a birth date on file, the link no longer expires. Without one, it opens without the check and expires after 14 days.

Team

  • A Student role. Invite a student on a .edu address as a Student, together with the Clinician or Staff role.

Website widgets

  • More than one widget on a page. Place the booking or contact widget as many times as you like on one page. Snippets you've already pasted keep working.

Video visits

  • Link previews for video visits. A video visit link shared in a text, email or chat now previews as a card with your practice's name. It never shows who the visit is with or when.
