New

Memberships and packages

Packages, right on the chart

A patient's Memberships page is now Plans, with Memberships and Packages together. Under Packages, Enroll puts the patient in a package, and you choose Draft invoice or Charge card on file. The package then shows how much of it has been used, and you can cancel it from there.

Bill it now, or leave it as a draft.

Start a membership when it suits the patient

Enrolling in a membership now asks When should it start? Pick a Start date, then Charge on selected date to charge nothing until then, or Prorate to charge now for the time up to it. Nothing the plan includes is covered before it starts. For a membership Paid outside Ona, you just pick the date.

Intro pricing with phases

Under Services → New membership, Add phase in Price and billing sets a different price and What's included for a member's first payments, free if you like, before the plan settles on its Main phase. Patients see the phases when they join. Members stay on the schedule they enrolled on.

A lower price to start, written out the way patients read it.

Also in memberships and packages

  • Documents when a patient joins. Sent when they enroll, on a plan, emails the consents, forms and interviews you choose, whether staff enroll the patient or they join themselves.
  • Billing codes in packages and plans. Packages and plans can now include units of a code, such as a lab, without creating a service. Add them under Included codes on a package, or as a Billing code on a plan. Self-pay visits that bill the code use the units up.

New

Billing

Bill any code on a one-off invoice

Add CPT code, on New Invoice or a draft, adds a CPT, HCPCS or clinic code as its own line. If your fee schedule prices the code, the price fills in. Change it and the line bills what you typed, and a code the schedule doesn't price takes a price of your own.

The fee schedule suggests the price, and you have the last word.

Discounts on a line or a whole visit

Add discount, under Adjustments on a new or draft invoice, takes a percent or a fixed amount off one line or a whole self-pay visit. It comes off last, tax is charged on the discounted amount, and the patient sees it on the PDF. Lines billed to insurance can't take one.

Taken off last, and shown on the patient's PDF.

Several cards for one patient

Adding a card no longer replaces the old one. Patients can keep several named cards, under Payment Method in Details & Settings, and add their own in the portal. Charge card on file on an invoice lets you pick the card and the Amount to charge. On a copay, Collect payment → Card on file → Split across cards divides it between them.

Also in billing

  • Codes that say what they mean. Invoice lines, the self-pay visit preview and the PDF now show a code's description beside the code.
  • One member price list for several plans. Under Settings → Billing → Fee Schedule, Add membership pricing now takes one or more Membership plans and an optional Name. Discounts and item prices are set on the list's page.

New

Tasks

Put the urgent work first

Tasks can now be Urgent, High, Medium or Low. Columns sort most urgent first, and dragging a card among higher or lower ones changes its priority to fit. Set Priority on the card or in the task panel.

The most urgent work rises to the top of each column.

Share a task, across patients

A task's Assignees and Patients now each hold more than one. Anyone newly added is notified, and a reminder with no chosen recipient goes to every assignee. The By assignee report counts a shared task for each person, so its rows can add up to more than the total.

One task, shared between the people and patients it's about.

Your tasks, from the dashboard

In My Tasks on your dashboard, type a title and press Enter to add a task. Change its status or priority on the row, and on desktop a task opens beside the dashboard instead of taking you away.

Also in tasks

  • A dialog for new tasks. New task and a column's + now open a dialog where you fill in everything first, and nothing is saved until you submit. Create more keeps it open for the next one.
  • A rearranged panel. Description and Linked now share one pane, with one search for visits, leads and faxes. Reminders and Watchers moved to a strip beside each other.

Improved

Procedures

A procedure on one page

The procedure sheet has no more tabs: Notes, Code, Media and Injections read from top to bottom. Injection maps are faster too. Pick a product and dose and click to place points, which name themselves on the front-face diagram and can mirror to both sides with Place both sides. Points group into areas, with a total for each product.

Notes, code and injection points, top to bottom.

Also in procedures

  • Before and after. Under Media, Add → Camera takes photos or records video right from the sheet, each marked Before, After or another kind you can change later. With two or more images, Compare opens them Side by side or on a Slider.

New

Video visits

Touch up and low light

Clinicians can now soften their skin and brighten a dim picture on their own video. Open Video effects in the waiting room or during a call, and under Appearance use the Touch up slider and the Low light switch. Both stay off until you turn them on, and your choice is saved on your device.

Also in video visits

  • Steadier backgrounds. Background effects stop flickering and hair keeps its outline, for clinicians and patients alike. Light blur and Strong blur are both stronger.

And more

Labs

  • Results as a list. On the Labs page, switch from Cards with charts to List of the last two results to see each test with its latest two readings. Select a row for the full card.
  • Notes first in report review. Reviewing a report now shows the Note to patient and Internal note first, and the sign-off line says whether the report was shared.

Booking

  • Booking further ahead. Patients can now book up to 180 days out, unless your own booking rules are shorter. If nobody is free soon, the page opens on the first opening it finds.

Calendar

  • Your picks, remembered. Calendars keeps the team members and locations you selected when you come back.

Charting

  • Search that forgives spelling. Medication and supplement search finds a name however it's spaced or hyphenated, such as "solumedrol". When adding a supplement, products now list above ingredients when one matches better.

Fixed

  • Clearing a task description. A description you delete now stays deleted. Before, it came back on reload.
  • Scheduled messages in new conversations. A new draft conversation no longer lists scheduled messages from your other threads.
  • Labs filed under Other. New results for tests such as Triglycerides now go to the right category.
