Prepaid credits
Credits patients pay ahead with
Patients can now hold a balance of prepaid credits, earned from packages, memberships and paid visits and spent on visits. Under Services, give a service a Credit cost, and a package or membership a Credit reward. The Credits card on the chart's Billing page shows the balance, and Edit adds or removes credits with a note. An invoice for a visit with a credit cost can then be paid with them. Set what one credit is worth under Settings → Billing → Credits.
Book a visit with credits
Signed-in patients with enough credits see Book with 1 credit beside the price when they book a visit that has a credit cost. Turn on Part-pay with credits and a patient who is short pays the rest by card. Patients see their balance under Credits on the portal's Billing page.

Card readers
Charge an invoice on a card reader
Turn on Card readers under Settings → Billing → Stripe, then Add reader with the Registration code the reader shows. On an invoice, Charge on card reader sends the balance to the reader you pick and waits for the patient to pay. Payments taken on a reader outside Ona wait under Card reader payments on the Billing page, ready to put on an invoice. Ona charges Stripe's smart readers, such as the WisePOS E and S700.
Also in card readers
- Tips. A tip left on the reader comes through on the invoice, beside the payment. Record onsite payment takes a tip too, with Tip for to say who earned it. Tips show in the Commissions report and earn no commission.

Locations
Work from one site at a time
If your practice has two or more sites, the account menu at the foot of the sidebar now has a Location list. Pick a site, or All locations, and Visits, Calendars and new visits follow it. Online visits stay in the list. Your choice is remembered on this browser.
Improved
Charting
Export just the parts of a chart you need
Export → Patient chart… in the chart's sidebar now opens Export chart. Tick the Chart sections and the Documents to include, down to single notes or forms, and get One PDF or a ZIP of PDFs. Everything starts ticked except drafts.
Also in charting
- Hold to delete in Open notes. Hold D to delete the note on top of the reviewer.
Improved
Insurance
Only the benefits you check
Under Settings → Insurance → Benefits to show, turn on Detailed benefits and eligibility shows only the codes you picked, line by line, with whether auth is needed and whether the line is in network. The copay comes from the first code the payer answered. It's off by default.
Also in insurance
- Draft claims, line by line. Each service line on a draft claim is now one row you open to edit, and every error and warning sits in one list. Click one to go to the field.
- Plan-wide prior auth. When a payer flags authorization only for the whole plan, eligibility now reads Prior authorization may be needed instead of saying it's required.
And more
Phone calls
- Ring on mobile. Under Settings → Omnichannel → Phone calls, Ring on mobile replaces the old switch: Don't ring, Ona mobile app or Mobile phone. Members ring in the browser and in the one you choose, never both.
Billing
- Faster invoices. On large practices, Invoices opens faster and loads more as you scroll, and each column's count and total cover the whole stage.
Booking
- Calendar events further ahead. Events in a clinician's connected Google Calendar now block booking times up to about six months out.
Account menu
- Clock in from the menu. Clock in and Clock out are now one row in the account menu, with your time today. Help and feedback adds Email support.
Fixed
- Invoice lines named after the service. A visit with several services now lists each service by name on its invoice and quote. Before, every line repeated the visit title.
- Empty eligibility checks. Checks where every figure read "Not reported" now show the payer's answer. If a patient still shows it, run the check again.
- After visit summary dates. Dates now follow your practice's time zone. Before, an evening visit could print as the next day.
- Picking a time. The time list no longer jumps as you move over it, and scrolling it on a touch screen no longer picks a time.
