Improved

Vitals

Every vital in one strip, with height and BMI

Vitals now sit in one strip on the patient summary and in the visit: blood pressure, heart rate, SpO₂, temperature, respiratory rate, pain, weight, and now height and BMI. BMI is calculated for you from the latest weight and height. Open Trends under the strip to chart any vital over time.

Height and BMI join the rest of the vitals.

Only the vitals you take

Under Settings → Charting, switch each vital on or off on its own. A vital that's off disappears from logging, the strip and trends. BMI needs both weight and height, so turning either off turns BMI off too. Choose US customary (°F, lbs, ft and in) or Metric (°C, kg, cm), and every vital is logged and shown in those units.

Improved

Omnichannel

Automatic texts and emails in the conversation

The texts and emails Ona sends a patient on its own now show in their conversation, in the SMS or Email tab they went out on. That includes visit bookings, reminders, reschedules and cancellations. Each one is marked Automatic text or Automatic email and shows whether it was delivered. Click View message to see exactly what the patient received.

What Ona sent, next to what your team sent.

Improved

AI receptionist

Keyterms the receptionist won't mishear

Add the words callers say that are easy to get wrong: your practice and location names, your clinicians, services and the insurance payers you take. The receptionist listens for them on every call. Add up to 100 under Settings → AI Receptionist → Keyterms, pressing Enter or a comma after each.

Names, places and payers, heard right.

Improved

Insurance

Require insurance card photos

Turn on Require insurance card photos under Settings → Insurance → Patient intake, and patients must add a photo of the front and back of their member card before they can finish. It applies to self-registration and to one-time profile links, alongside Require insurance.

No plan without both sides of the card.

A whitelist of the payers you bill

Add the payers your clinic works with to the Payers Whitelist under Settings → Insurance. Patients adding insurance pick only from those. Your team sees them first, with Show all payers for anyone else. Leave the list empty to offer every payer, as before.

Patients choose from your payers, not the whole directory.

The copay, first

The copay now opens the eligibility panel, on the patient and on the visit. When it depends on the visit type, you see the range and the amount for each service. In a visit, the header shows the coverage and the expected copay from every page, one click from the full check.

What the patient owes, before anything else.

Also in insurance

  • Why a check can't run. When an eligibility check is missing something, such as the member ID or the payer, the panel says what's missing and where to add it, instead of a toast that disappears.
