Labs & Supplements

Lab orders and supplement plans, in the chart.

Order labs and build supplement protocols through a Fullscript-powered dispensary — with results, orders, and medications all living on the patient record.

  • Supplement protocols
  • Results on the record

For most integrative practices, “labs & Rx” is actually three tools: a lab ordering platform, a supplement dispensary, and a medication list somewhere on the chart. They never speak to each other, and you spend your Fridays reconciling PDFs.

Ona pulls them into one place on the patient record. Labs and supplement protocols are placed through an embedded Fullscript dispensary; results and order status sync back; the medications list lives on the same chart.

Labs, supplements, medications

01 · Why it matters

Orders belong with the chart.

When labs, supplement plans, and the med list live in different apps, context and continuity both get lost.

Every extra tool is a seam where information goes missing. A lab result buried in one portal, a supplement protocol emailed from another, a medication list that only lives in the clinician's head.

Ona keeps all three on the patient record. The dispensary is embedded — not a separate login — and the medications section sits beside labs and supplements in the same clinical view.

02 · What you get

One record, three stories.

Lab orders through Fullscript

Place lab orders from the patient's record using an embedded Fullscript dispensary — the test catalogue, pricing, and ordering flow Fullscript supports, without a separate login.

Supplement protocols

Build and send treatment plans from the same dispensary sheet. The protocol lives on the chart, not in a third-party email.

Results and status, synced

Lab results and order status sync back to the patient record so you don't hop between tabs to see what came in.

A proper medications list

A medication pill list lives beside labs and supplements on the chart. Add medications manually during or after the visit so the picture stays complete.

One view across visits

Past orders, past results, past protocols — all on the patient, across consultations. Review history without changing apps.

Clean workspace setup

Connect Fullscript once for the workspace; the dispensary tabs light up on every patient with a valid email. No per-clinician wiring.

03 · How it flows

From the visit to the record.

  1. Open the dispensary

From the patient's Labs or Supplements tab, open the embedded Fullscript dispensary sheet.
  2. Place the order or build the protocol

Use Fullscript's familiar flow to pick labs or supplements, set the plan, and send it to the patient.
  3. Sync to the chart

Orders, treatment plans, and incoming results sync back to the patient record and show up in the Labs and Supplements tabs.
  4. Track history in context

Results and protocols live on the patient — across consultations — so you can see what came before when you open the chart next time.

I stopped juggling Fullscript in one tab and the chart in another. The order goes where the patient lives — and when the result comes back, it's already where I'll look.

04 · In practice

Made for integrative workflows.

Functional medicine

Speciality labs and protocols side by side.

Order a lab panel, then build the follow-up supplement protocol in the same sheet. Both end up on the chart tied to the same patient.

Integrative primary care

Results where the clinician actually looks.

Results sync back to the Labs tab on the patient — no checking a separate dashboard before every visit.

Nutrition & wellness

Supplement plans without a second tool.

Recommend, send, and track supplement protocols through Fullscript without leaving the patient record.

Group practice

One dispensary connection, every clinician.

Connect Fullscript once at the workspace level; everyone on the team uses the same embedded flow on every patient.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need a Fullscript account?
Yes — labs and supplements run through an embedded Fullscript dispensary, so you connect a Fullscript account once per workspace to light up those tabs on patient records.
Does Ona e-prescribe medications?
Not today. Prescriptions are managed as a medications list on the patient record — you add them manually so the chart stays complete. E-prescribing via Surescripts (including EPCS for controlled substances) is on the roadmap — let us know if it's important to you.
Do you check for drug interactions?
We keep a structured medications list so you can see the patient's full list at a glance. Automated interaction and dose checks are not part of today's feature set.
Which labs can I order?
Whatever's available through your Fullscript dispensary catalogue — the ordering, pricing, and partner coverage follow Fullscript's flow.
Where do results and orders live?
On the patient record. The Labs tab shows orders and results; the Supplements tab shows treatment plans. Both sync from Fullscript so you don't have to check a separate dashboard.
