Connecting Junction and Fullscript

Connect Fullscript for supplement and lab workflows, and manage Junction setup for lab ordering. Owners and admins can connect or disconnect Fullscript, provision Junction, check readiness, and choose whether Junction messages patients.

Fullscript and Junction are managed from Settings. In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, use the Dispensary section. The Dispensary landing page opens Labs. The Fullscript and Junction links appear under Dispensary after Labs or Supplements is on.

Fullscript connects a practitioner account for supplement and lab workflows. Junction is used for lab ordering through Junction.

How do I connect Fullscript?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Fullscript to connect a Fullscript practitioner account. If Fullscript is not visible under Dispensary, turn on Labs or Supplements first. The page opens Fullscript in a new tab so you can authorize the connection.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Labs or Supplements and turn that feature on if Fullscript is not visible.
  2. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Fullscript.
  3. Select Connect Fullscript.
  4. If your browser blocks the new tab, allow pop-ups for Ona and select Connect Fullscript again.
  5. Complete the authorization in Fullscript.

While Ona finishes the authorization, the connection card shows Connecting…. When the connection completes, Ona shows Connected and may display the Practitioner ID.

If the connection cannot start, Ona shows Couldn't start Fullscript connection. If the authorization cannot finish after you return, Ona shows Couldn't complete Fullscript connection and asks you to try connecting again.

How do I reconnect Fullscript?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Fullscript when you need to refresh or replace the practitioner connection.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Fullscript.
  2. Confirm the card shows Connected.
  3. Select Reconnect Fullscript.
  4. Complete the authorization in Fullscript.

When the reconnection succeeds, the card shows Connected.

How do I disconnect Fullscript?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Fullscript when the practice should stop using the current practitioner connection.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Fullscript.
  2. Select Disconnect Fullscript.
  3. In Disconnect Fullscript?, review the warning.
  4. Select Disconnect.

Ona removes the practitioner connection for this organization. Dispensary workflows for this admin account stop using Fullscript until you connect again.

How do I provision Junction?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Junction to set up Junction for lab ordering. Junction appears after Labs or Supplements is on. Provisioning puts the team, webhook and Connect configuration in place.

  2. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Junction.
  3. Select Provision clinic in Junction if the clinic has not been provisioned.
  4. Select Re-run provisioning if the clinic was already provisioned and needs to be refreshed.

When provisioning succeeds, Ona shows Clinic provisioned in Junction. A provisioned Junction card can show Environment, Webhook, Webhook inbox and Provisioned.

If the page shows Server not configured, this deployment has no Junction credentials. Ask Ona support to configure the server before provisioning.

How do I check Junction status?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Junction to see whether Junction is Ready.

  2. If the clinic is already provisioned, select Check status.
  3. Review the Junction card state and details.

The card can show these states:

Setup incompleteThe clinic has been provisioned, but Junction is not ready.
Not provisionedJunction credentials are available, but the clinic has not been provisioned.
Server not configuredThis deployment has no Junction credentials. Ona support must configure the server before provisioning.

For a provisioned clinic, Webhook shows Registered, Not registered — re-run provisioning or Couldn't reach Junction. Webhook inbox shows pending, failed and dead counts.

How do I turn Junction patient messages on or off?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Junction to choose whether Junction contacts patients about lab draws and results.

  2. In Patients, change Junction messages patients.
  3. Save the change when the save bar appears.

When Junction messages patients is on, Junction texts and emails patients about draws and results. If no setting has been saved yet, Ona treats this as on by default.

What can't I do here?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, use the Dispensary section. Access and setup are limited in these ways:

  • Staff and clinicians cannot manage Fullscript or Junction from Settings.
  • Fullscript and Junction are not shown under Dispensary until Labs or Supplements is on.
  • You cannot connect Fullscript if your browser blocks the Fullscript authorization tab. Allow pop-ups for Ona and try again.
  • Fullscript plans and orders require the patient to have an email address. When Fullscript is connected but the patient has no email, Recommend via Fullscript is disabled with Needs the patient's email address.
  • You cannot provision Junction when the page shows Server not configured.
  • You cannot provision Junction while you have unsaved changes to Junction messages patients. Save or discard the change first.

Common questions

Where do I connect Fullscript?

In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Dispensary, click Labs or Supplements if Fullscript is not visible. Then open Fullscript and select Connect Fullscript. If Fullscript is already connected, the button changes to Reconnect Fullscript.

What does Fullscript connected enable?

The Fullscript page says the connection authorizes supplement and lab workflows for your account. In patient workflows, Fullscript also needs the patient to have an email address.

What happens when I disconnect Fullscript?

Ona removes the practitioner connection for this organization. Dispensary workflows for this admin account stop using Fullscript until you connect again.

What does Junction provision do?

Provisioning sets up Junction for the clinic. When it succeeds, Ona reports that the team, webhook and Connect configuration are in place.

Does Junction message patients by default?

Yes. If no Junction messaging setting has been saved yet, Ona treats Junction messages patients as on. You can turn it off by clicking Settings in the left sidebar, then clicking Junction under Dispensary in the settings menu and saving the change.
