Branding your patient-facing pages
Upload your practice logo, choose brand colors for patient-facing pages, and manage the public welcome page from Organization settings. Learn where those changes appear and what is set separately for the booking widget.
Use Organization settings to control the branding patients see on your public pages. In the left sidebar, click Settings. On the Organization page, changes stay in draft until you select Save changes.
On the same page, the contact details and location details save with the same Save changes bar. If the save bar is disabled, check whether the page still has an invalid Phone number or Contact email, or whether the background color is too dark.
Use the Logo section (1) to manage the logo patients see, the Colors section (2) to choose your accent and background colors, the Welcome page section (3) to control the public landing page for your practice, and Save changes (4) to publish any of those edits.
How do I upload, replace, or remove my practice logo?
In the left sidebar, click Settings. In the settings menu, under Practice, click Organization. On the Organization page, use the logo section to show your own logo to patients. The same logo is also used on invoices and superbills.
Use a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image up to 2 MB.
Use Upload logo (1) to add a logo or Replace to change the current one. The Practice logo preview (2) shows the image patients see, and the Logo section (3) is where you manage it.
- In the logo section, select Upload logo to add a logo, or select Replace to change the current one.
- If you want to remove the current logo, select Remove.
- Select Save changes.
After you save the page, patients see the updated logo instead of Ona on patient-facing pages, and the same logo is used on invoices and superbills.
How do I choose brand colors for patient-facing pages?
On the same page, use Colors to set the branding for the patient-facing pages on your practice site. These colors are used on the welcome page, booking page, sign-in, form links, appointment confirmation, member cards, and patient portal.
Use the Accent (1) swatch for your main brand color and the Background (2) swatch for the page background.
- In Colors, choose an accent color, or select Use Ona's coral (default) to go back to Ona's default accent.
- Choose the background color you want, or select Use a soft tint of the accent (default) to go back to the default background.
- If the page shows Too dark for text to read — pick a lighter one., choose a lighter background color.
- Select Save changes.
After you save the page, the updated colors appear across your patient-facing pages.
How do I turn on the welcome page and add a tagline or specialties?
On the same page, use the welcome-page section to control the public landing page that introduces your practice.
If your organization has a public welcome-page link, the section also shows the page link so you can copy it.
- In the welcome-page section, turn on the switch at the top of the section to make the page available to visitors.
- Enter a short description or motto in the tagline field (2).
- In the specialties field (3), enter a specialty and select Add.
- If the saved page is already live, select View landing page (4) to open it in a new tab.
- Select Save changes.
After you save the page, visitors see the updated welcome page. If the page is off, visitors to that page are redirected to sign-in.
If you try to add the same specialty twice, Ona shows Duplicate specialty and asks you to Pick a different name.
How do organization colors work with online booking?
On the same page, the colors you set here control the colors on your public booking page, but the booking widget on your own website uses its own color settings.
Use the Colors (2) section to set the booking-page branding, then pick the Accent (3) and Background (4) swatches there. Organization settings controls the colors on your public booking page, while the booking widget on your own website uses its own color settings.
That means your public booking page can match the rest of your patient-facing pages, while the embedded widget can use a different accent or background if you need it to fit your site.
For more about the public booking experience, see Your website and online booking page.
What can't I do here?
In Settings, on the Organization page, branding changes are limited in these ways:
- Staff and clinicians cannot manage these settings.
- You cannot save a background color that is too dark for the page text to read.
- You cannot save page changes while the contact information on the same page still has an invalid Phone number or Contact email.
- You cannot use a logo file outside the supported image types, or larger than 2 MB.
- Turning on the welcome page does not change the booking widget's colors.
Common questions
Where do these colors show up?
They appear on the welcome page, booking page, sign-in, form links, appointment confirmation, member cards, and patient portal for your practice. The embedded booking widget uses separate color settings.
Why is Save changes disabled?
On this page, Save changes is disabled if the background color is too dark, or if the page still has an invalid Phone number or Contact email.
Does changing the logo also change invoices and superbills?
Yes. The organization logo is also used on invoices and superbills. See Choosing the logo on invoices and superbills.
What happens if I turn off the welcome page?
Visitors who open your welcome page are redirected to sign-in.
Why can't I add the same specialty twice?
The welcome page does not allow duplicate specialties. If you enter one that is already listed, Ona shows Duplicate specialty and asks you to Pick a different name.
