Reviewing AI-suggested records

AI-suggested records appear inside the patient's clinical record sections, alongside practitioner-entered records. Suggestions stay visually marked until they are confirmed.

How do I find AI-suggested clinical records?

Open the patient's chart to review suggested records in the same sections where you manage clinical records. In the left sidebar, click Patients, click the patient's name, then select Summary. AI-suggested items can appear in Diagnoses, Medications and Allergies.

AI-suggested records are marked in two places:

• The record pill shows a sparkles icon before the record name while the suggestion is unconfirmed.
• The record detail card shows an AI badge.

If you are reviewing records during a visit, you may also see a From the chart band. Those are active chart records that are not yet part of the current visit. They are separate from whether a record was suggested by AI.

How do I review an AI-suggested record?

Use the record pill to inspect the suggestion before you decide whether to keep it. The same review pattern applies to AI-suggested diagnoses, medications and allergies.

1. In the left sidebar, click Patients, click the patient's name, then select Summary. If you are reviewing a visit, click Visits in the left sidebar, click the visit, then open the visit records.
2. Find a record pill with the sparkles icon.
3. Hover over the pill to open its detail card.
4. Review the coding, status, source details, notes and any section-specific details shown on the card.

The detail card shows the actions available for that record, including AI review actions when the record is still unconfirmed.

How do I confirm an AI-suggested record?

Confirm a suggestion when it belongs in the patient's record. Confirmation removes the item from the unreviewed AI state.

1. In the left sidebar, click Patients, click the patient's name, then select Summary. If you are reviewing a visit, click Visits in the left sidebar, click the visit, then open the visit records.
2. Hover over the AI-suggested record pill.
3. Use the confirm action in the AI review controls.

The AI review controls disappear, and the sparkles marker no longer appears for that record.

How do I dismiss an AI-suggested record?

Dismiss a suggestion when it should not be kept in the patient's record. Dismissing uses the AI review action for that record type.

1. In the left sidebar, click Patients, click the patient's name, then select Summary. If you are reviewing a visit, click Visits in the left sidebar, click the visit, then open the visit records.
2. Hover over the AI-suggested record pill.
3. Use the dismiss action in the AI review controls.

The suggested record is removed from the clinical records list. If the action fails, you see Couldn't dismiss and Try again in a moment.

How do I edit an AI-suggested record before confirming it?

If a suggestion is mostly right but needs cleanup, open the record's edit action from the detail card. Editing and confirming are separate actions.

1. In the left sidebar, click Patients, click the patient's name, then select Summary. If you are reviewing a visit, click Visits in the left sidebar, click the visit, then open the visit records.
2. Hover over the AI-suggested record pill.
3. Use the edit action in the detail card.
4. Update the available fields for that record type.
5. Select Save changes.

After the edit saves, return to the record detail card and confirm the AI suggestion if you are ready to mark it reviewed.

The editable fields depend on the record type. Diagnoses include Status, Severity, Certainty, Resolved date and Note. Allergies include Status, Severity, Criticality and Note. Medications include Status, Route, Dose amount, Dose unit, Frequency, Start date, End date, Instructions and Note. Use Change in the medication edit dialog when the suggested medication itself is wrong.

What can't I do here?

Clinical record review is limited in these ways:

• You cannot confirm a record that is not marked as AI-suggested or that has already been accepted.
• You cannot edit the special No known allergies record into a real allergen. Archive it if it was added in error.
• Add buttons are not shown in read-only clinical record sections.

Which record types can be AI-suggested?

AI review actions are shown for AI-suggested Diagnoses, Medications and Allergies that have not been confirmed.

What happens when I confirm a suggestion?

The AI review controls disappear, and the record no longer shows as an unconfirmed AI suggestion.

What happens when I dismiss a suggestion?

The suggested record is deleted from the patient's clinical records list. If Ona cannot complete the action, you see Couldn't dismiss and can try again.

Can I archive a suggested record instead of dismissing it?

Yes, for diagnoses, medications and allergies. Dismiss is the AI review action for rejecting a suggestion. Archive is the regular clinical record action.

Why don't I see AI review actions?

The record may not be AI-generated, or it may already be accepted. AI review controls appear only on AI-suggested records that still need confirmation.
