Your dashboard
Use Dashboard to see your day, change the reporting range for dashboard widgets, and customize the widgets shown on your desktop home page.
Your dashboard is the first page at Dashboard. On desktop, it is a customizable widget grid. On mobile, it focuses on your visit schedule so the next visit is easy to find.
How do I read my dashboard?
In the left sidebar, click Dashboard. Use Dashboard to get a quick view of the work that matters to your role. The dashboard greeting uses your display name, and the date at the top shows today’s date.
Widgets are role- and feature-aware, so your dashboard may not match another teammate’s. Owners and admins see the administrative dashboard surface. Staff see the operational dashboard surface. Clinicians see the clinician dashboard surface.
Some widgets report activity over a time range, such as patients, visits, forms, consents or interviews. Other widgets focus on current work, such as the calendar, notifications or My Tasks, and may ignore the dashboard range.
How do I change the dashboard time range?
In the left sidebar, click Dashboard. Use the range control at the top of Dashboard when you want count and trend widgets to show a different reporting window.
- In the range control, choose 1D, 7D, 30D, 90D or 12M.
- Review the widgets that use the dashboard range.
The selected range is kept for refreshes and shared links. 7D is the default range.
| Range | What it shows |
|---|---|
| 1D | Today. |
| 7D | The last 7 days. |
| 30D | The last 30 days. |
| 90D | The last 90 days. |
| 12M | The last 12 months. |
How do I customize my dashboard widgets?
In the left sidebar, click Dashboard on a desktop-width screen. Customize Dashboard on desktop when you want a different layout for your own home page.
- Select Customize.
- Drag widgets to reorder them.
- Use the resize handle on a widget to change its size.
- Select Done to save your layout.
While editing, select Cancel to leave without saving.
How do I add a widget?
In the left sidebar, click Dashboard on a desktop-width screen. Add widgets from Add widgets on the desktop Dashboard. The catalog only shows widgets available to your role and enabled features.
- Select Customize.
- Select Add widget.
- Use Search widgets or the category chips to narrow the catalog.
- Drag a widget card onto the dashboard, or select a widget card to add it.
- Select Done.
A widget can appear more than once. The catalog marks widget types that are already on your dashboard, but it does not prevent you from adding another copy.
How do I remove or reset dashboard widgets?
In the left sidebar, click Dashboard on a desktop-width screen. Use edit mode on the desktop Dashboard when a widget no longer belongs on your home page, or when you want to return to the default layout.
- Select Customize.
- To remove one widget, select Remove widget on that widget.
- To return the page to the default layout for your role, select Reset.
- Select Done to save.
If you save the default layout, Ona removes your saved custom layout.
How do I use the mobile dashboard?
In the mobile tab bar, select Dashboard on a mobile-width screen. On mobile, Dashboard shows a compact visit schedule instead of the desktop widget board. It includes upcoming visits, live visits and recent past visits. Upcoming visits are ordered from the start of today, nearest first. Past shows recent past visits newest first.
- Use the date chips to switch schedule ranges, including Past.
- Select Search visits to search by patient, visit or location.
- Select a visit card when you want to open the visit and the card has a visit link.
- For online visits, use the meeting link when one is available.
Live visits appear in a Live now group. Cancelled and no-show visits stay in the schedule but appear muted.
What can't I do here?
In Dashboard, access and layout are limited in these ways:
- Users who are not clinic members do not use the clinic dashboard. Patient users are sent to the patient portal.
- Desktop widgets depend on your role and enabled features. If a feature is off, its widget is not available.
- Staff and clinicians do not get the owner/admin dashboard surface.
- The mobile dashboard does not show the customizable widget board.
Common questions
Why does my dashboard look different from someone else’s?
Your dashboard is shaped by your roles and your organization’s enabled features. Owners and admins see the administrative surface, staff see the operational surface, and clinicians see the clinician surface.
Does changing the range affect every widget?
No. The range affects widgets that report activity over time, such as counts and trends. Current-work widgets, such as schedule and tasks, may ignore the range.
Can I add the same widget more than once?
Yes. The widget catalog shows when a widget type is already on your dashboard, but you can still add another copy.
What happens if I select Reset?
Reset changes your draft layout back to the default dashboard layout for your role. Select Done to save that reset, or Cancel to leave your saved layout unchanged.
Why can’t I see Customize?
The customizable widget board is shown on desktop-width screens. On mobile, Dashboard uses the schedule-focused layout instead.
